ambassador care volunteer

About the Role:
This crucial volunteer role will directly support Center for Wildlife's Education Team in the care of our ambassador animals here at Center for Wildlife! This role will involve a variety of jobs including food preparation, enclosure cleaning and site maintenance, and some interactions with visitors.
Time Commitment:
One, four hour shift per week for a minimum of 5-6 months,
with the option to return the following season or continue
volunteering year-round.

Skills:

Basic knowledge of native species and ambassadors, as well as their natural and personal histories, or ability to learn

Comfortable working independently and adhering to established protocols

Physical fitness to work 4 hours (with breaks) and lift up to 50 pounds

Willingness to learn, assist staff, and take initiative as needed

Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in all seasons and weather

Willingness to jump in and get dirty, regardless of the task
