About the Role: 

This crucial volunteer role will directly support Center for Wildlife's Education Team in the care of our ambassador animals here at Center for Wildlife! This role will involve a variety of jobs including food preparation, enclosure cleaning and site maintenance, and some interactions with visitors.

 

Time Commitment:

One, four hour shift per week for a minimum of 5-6 months,

with the option to return the following season or continue

volunteering year-round.

Skills:

• Basic knowledge of native species and ambassadors, as well as their natural and personal histories, or ability to learn

• Comfortable working independently and adhering to established protocols

• Physical fitness to work 4 hours (with breaks) and lift up to 50 pounds

• Willingness to learn, assist staff, and take initiative as needed

• Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in all seasons and weather

• Willingness to jump in and get dirty, regardless of the task
