About the Role:
This volunteer role directly supports Center for Wildlife's Education Team in the care of our ambassador animals. This role will involve a variety of jobs including food preparation, enclosure cleaning and site maintenance, and some interactions with visitors.
Who is This For?
Being an Ambassador Care volunteers isn't easy, requires working outdoors year-round and also involves physically demanding work at times, including: hauling water jugs, scrubbing down enclosures, shoveling snow and more. Time Commitment:
One, four hour shift per week for a minimum of 6 months,
with the option to continue volunteering year-round. All volunteers also have the opportunity to assist with special events on and off campus.
Skills:
Basic knowledge of native species and ambassadors, as well as their natural and personal histories, or ability to learn

Comfortable working independently and adhering to established protocols

Physical fitness to work 4 hours and lift up to 50 pounds (shoveling, scrubbing, hauling water, etc)

Willing to learn, assist staff, and take initiative as needed

Willing to work indoors and outdoors in all seasons and weather

Willing to jump in and get dirty, regardless of the task
