Center for Wildlife was founded in January 1986. Forty years later, we are grateful to be on our community campus with a space for nature based environmental education programming, state of the art wildlife medical clinic, ambassador village and a soon to be complete outdoor medical clinic recovery enclosures.
CFW was started when it was noticed that there was no place to bring injured and orphaned wildlife. After several years, it was recognized that wildlife patients were not coming to us because of injuries obtained in the wild, but instead due to human interactions, and our education arm became a priority so that we were not conducting our work in a vacuum.
While much has changed over these past 40 years, one thing that hasn't is that there is no state or federal funding available for our work helping injured and orphaned wildlife. Center for Wildlife exists due to the generosity of individuals, local businesses and foundations.
We are asking, if you are able, to consider a stretch gift in honor of our 40 year anniversary and to help set us up for the next 40 years and beyond.
