CFW Annual Membership Program

How do I become a member? You can purchase a membership in person, by phone at (207) 361-1400, or online at www.thecenterforwildlife.org/membership.

How long is my membership valid? Center for Wildlife memberships are valid for one year from the date of purchase. You can find your expiration date on your membership card.

If I forget to bring my membership card, can I still visit for free? We strongly encourage you to bring your card each time you visit. If you do forget, we can verify you as a member at our Admissions desk (you may be asked to show a photo ID). You and any members of your party also on your membership will be admitted for free. You will also be able to use your 10% discount at the gift shop.

Can I purchase a membership as a gift? Yes, you can purchase any level of Center for Wildlife membership as a gift. We can either send the membership letter and card directly to the recipient, or to you as the purchaser so that you may present the membership to the gift recipient.

Can I put my admission purchase toward the purchase of a membership? Yes! Admission costs paid on the same day a membership is purchased can be applied towards the membership cost. Only the admission cost for those who will be included on the membership can be applied.

Can I share my membership with other family members? No. At least one member named on the membership card must be present during each visit. You may purchase an additional guest add-on for $15.00, which will allow that guest free admission for your membership year.

May I send my children with their grandparents or nanny/babysitter? A Family membership allows for a caregiver to escort your children to our Nature Center. Caregivers must be at least 16 years of age and will need to present your membership card at Admissions.

Are Center for Wildlife memberships refundable or transferable? Memberships are non-refundable, but may be transferred to another party. We sincerely appreciate your support of our wildlife rehabilitation and environmental education mission!

If I give to the annual fund, am I a member? No. Your gifts to our annual fund support the Center’s operations. In accordance with tax law, annual fund gifts are tax-deductible and do not provide the donor with any with any membership benefits or services in exchange.

Is my membership tax-deductible? Center for Wildlife memberships may be tax-deductible, depending on your membership level. We recommend that you confirm your tax deduction with a professional tax advisor.

CFW Library Membership Program

How do our patrons use the Library Membership? Patrons should "check out" the membership pass with their library. Libraries should provide their patrons with a dated photocopy signed by an authorized library representative of the primary membership card to be presented at the CFW Admissions Desk.

How many patrons may use the Library Membership? One group of patrons may use a library membership per day. The group may include up to 2 adults and any/all children that reside with either adult in the same household.

When may the Library Membership be used? The membership is valid for free Nature Center admission during CFW public hours, from 10AM - 4PM Thursdays through Sundays year round. Holidays may affect these hours.

Are Library Memberships valid for special programs? Library Memberships are valid only for general Nature Center admissions, and may not be used for admission to special programs and events. However, they are valid for all programming that is included with general Nature Center admission.
