Birds & Nature

Experience Monhegan Island through the eyes of a naturalist!

One of the most unique spots along the Atlantic Flyway, Monhegan Island offers stunning opportunities for birders and nature lovers. Located 12 nautical miles offshore from Linocln County, Maine, Monhegan Island was designated as a National Natural Landmark in 1966 due to it's exceptionally well-preserved island ecosystem.

On this excursion, join your guides for 4 days and 3 nights of immersive birding and nature exploration in Monhegan's cozy island atmosphere. A boat ride from Port Clyde, ME will bring you to the island, where you'll enjoy multiple daily guided birding excursions, village walks and hikes along Monhegan's 17 miles of trails. Spend solo time during lunch and dinner, learn about everything from birds to insects to coastal flora, and soak in the scenery that gives this magical place the nickname "The Artist's Island".
