Nature Based Play Volunteer
About the role:
Our nature based play volunteers are getting into crafts, games, and other activities with campers. Volunteers must be ready to be outdoors in all weather to enjoy nature with the group. This role involves engaging the group in pre-set games and activities, maintenance of the nature center auditorium, amphitheater, and classroom spaces, preparation of activities, and maintaining a safe and fun environment.This role is ideal for any person with a passion for science communication, those preparing for careers in conservation or education, career educators of all kinds, and parents!

Time commitment:
Nature Based Play Volunteers are given a mandatory training prior to the first week of camp. This training totals 10 hours over 2 days, and is held on-site at our facility. Details are given during the application process.
Summer camp sessions are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday weekly from July to the end of August. Each volunteer must commit to at least 2 weeks, for a total of 48 hours. Weeks worked are pre-assigned during the hiring process and may be non-consecutive.
