About the Role:

These friendly faces are responsible for welcoming visitors, program setup, ensuring safety protocol is being followed, cleaning exhibits and ambassador enclosures, interpreting exhibits and displays for guests, answering visitor questions, assisting with activities, completing transactions in the gift shop, and maintaining the cleanliness of the nature center, gift shop, and lobby.

Time Commitment:

One four-hour shift per week for three months minimum


  • Friendly and comfortable with people

  • Basic knowledge of native species and ambassadors

  • Strong commitment to the Center's mission

  • Ability to operate point-of-sale system and iPad

  • Comfortable promoting safe, appropriate behavior with visitors

  • Ability to work in fast-paced and crowded environment

  • Enjoy leading group nature crafts and other activities with children and adults

If selected, we will invite you for an orientation and then training sessions, followed by a final assessment. After that, you'll be an official member of the incredibly valuable Center for Wildlife volunteer team.
