NATURE CENTER GUIDE
About the Role:
Nature Center Guides play an important public-facing role at the new Center for Wildlife. These friendly faces are responsible for welcoming visitors, managing ticket sales, informing the public about daily programs and activities, interpreting exhibits and displays, answering visitor questions, completing transactions in the gift shop, and maintaining the cleanliness of the nature center, gift shop, and lobby.
One four-hour shift per week for three months minimum
Friendly and comfortable with people
Basic knowledge of native species and ambassadors
Strong commitment to the Center's mission
Ability to operate point-of-sale system and iPad
Comfortable promoting safe, appropriate behavior with visitors
Ability to work in fast-paced and crowded environment
Enjoy leading group nature crafts and other activities with children and adults
