Make Way for Ducklings!

As the snow melts and the days lengthen, we notice the hopeful signs of spring around us! The barred owls are calling to their mates with their “whoo cooks for you, whoo cooks for you all” courtship calls, squirrels are chasing each other up and down trees, and robins are returning to our yards and making a ruckus! These signs of love and courtship are a precursor to the baby season that is quickly approaching.  Join Center for Wildlife at our annual Make Way for Ducklings: Bring Us Home event at Wentworth Greenhouses! Join us to learn how wildlife build and sustain their nests, care for their families and how we can support them at this critical time of year. Programming, hands-on activities, nature crafts, and more will focus on the challenges wild parents and their young may face, and how we can be kind and conscientious neighbors. Visitors will also learn all about the progress of the Center for Wildlife’s new home, and the exciting opportunities it will bring!

Join us to celebrate the start of spring on Sunday, March 29th from 11am - 1pm at Wentworth Greenhouses, 141 Rollins Road in Rollinsford, NH.

Make Way for Ducklings activities will include:

  • Center for Wildlife’s live animal ambassadors and educators presentation

  • Raffle drawings for your chance to have a private visit with one of CFW’s animal ambassadors or take home an amazing raffle basket.

  • Kids activities including face-painting, owl pellet dissection, nature crafts and photo opportunities with CFW ambassadors.

  • Homemade baked goods and refreshments.

We will also be hosting a Wild Baby Shower! Participants who bring an item from our Amazon wishlist will have the unique opportunity to have their photo taken with one of our wild animal ambassadors.
