FACILITIES VOLUNTEER

About the Role:

​

With the new Center for Wildlife comes a a greater need for volunteers who specialize in the maintenance and safety of the facility itself. Projects may include: landscaping, carpentry, enclosure repair, small engine upkeep, painting, snow removal, safety upgrades, exhibit creation, and any number of other projects as they arise.

​

Time Commitment:

​

Variable, depending on focus area

​

Skills:

​

  • Experience with carpentry, mechanical, electrical, landscaping, or general handyperson tasks

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds

  • Comfort climbing ladders

  • Willingness to work solo, or in small groups

  • Ability to lead or participate in group workdays

  • Knowledge or interest in learning about the unique habitat needs of various species

  • Creative problem solving

  • Comfortable self-managing
